About the Convention
DC – DE is an initiative of Ice Production Company focused on bridging the gap in the African Dance community through Dance Education and Training.
The initiative is a yearly training focused on providing stability and sustainability for dancers and also exposing them to relevant information and life skills required for their overall wellbeing.
This is it’s maiden edition and it promises to make a great impact in the African Dance Community
OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the DC-DE is to equip Nigerian dancers by teaching, training, empowering and preparing the dancers with the necessary tools that will enable them thrive in this frighteningly fast-changing world. This can serve as an advantage in gaining employment and also creating a source for income generation for them while ensuring furtherance of their careers in the performing arts.
This we hope to achieve by organizing an annual convention geared towards teaching dancers necessary business skills and life skills required to thrive and this is part of the line up for the year is an inaugural 3-day virtual convention scheduled to hold from the 18th to the 20th of August, 2020.
The future of the next generation, the talents and the endless possibilities for success, needs to be preserved, sustained and aligned to our emerging economy.
Doctors and wellness coaches alongside other dance and business experts will be speaking and training over 5,000 youth on the importance of taking care of their body, proper way to exercise/workout accompanied with the diet/nutrition and a virtual dance training on becoming a skilled dancer on stage and in the marketplace. All of this will happen at the Online Virtual Convention.
